Entry Process and Requirements
What are the steps for submitting an entry?
Sign up for a free membership profile, log in and go to the submissions page, fill in the required information and upload your materials, then proceed to payment.

Does my project need to be completed to be submitted?
No. Both completed and conceptual projects may be submitted. Completed work must have been finished within the last five years.
Do I have to send you a physical sample of my designs?
No physical sample is required. Entries are evaluated through uploaded photos, PDFs, or links to supporting materials such as videos.
What information do I need to provide to submit my work?
– For professionals: lead designer, optional team members, project name, optional client, categories, description, images/PDFs, optional links.
– For students: University name, designer/student name, design name, categories, description, images/PDFs, optional links.
Do I need to be studying design to qualify for the “student” category?
No. Anyone currently studying in any field is eligible for the student category and reduced fee.
Do I need to pay the submission fee before I can submit my work?
No. Payment is made at the end of the process after you create and review your entry.
What are the requirements for the supporting images and documents?
You may upload up to 10 images (JPEG/PNG, max 4MB each, minimum 1000px width) and one PDF (max 4MB).
Can I cancel my submission and get a refund?
No refunds are provided once payment is completed.
How can I make changes to my entry after I have paid?
It is not possible to edit an entry after payment. Please review all details carefully before finalizing.
What shall I do if I have trouble uploading my images?
Check file size, format, and naming, then try again. If the issue persists, contact support.
How will I know if you have received my entry?
You will receive a confirmation email. You may also check your submission status in the “History” section of your account.
How will I know if my submission is complete?
Your “History” page will show the status of each entry. Incomplete entries are not eligible once submissions close.
What is the “History” feature of the member’s “Home” section?
It displays your submission status, receipts, and—if you win—your certificates, seals, and press releases.
Can I submit a design that has previously won or been entered before?
Yes. Previously submitted or winning work may be re-entered, though new work is encouraged.
Categories and Submission
Can I enter one design into multiple categories?
Yes. You may enter the same design into multiple categories, with an additional fee for each extra category.
Is there a limit to the number of entries I can submit?
No. You may submit as many entries as you wish.
Can a collection of designs be submitted together, or should each design be submitted separately?
Both individual designs and collections are accepted. Completed, conceptual, and in-progress projects are eligible. Completed work must be from within the last five years.
Do I have to be a designer to participate?
No. Anyone with a creative idea or project may participate.
Use of Images/Videos
How will my images/videos be used?
They may be used for award promotion with credit to the designer. Copyright remains with the designer, and winning/placing entries are included in the Winners Book.
Will I be compensated for use of my images/videos?
No monetary compensation is provided for image or video use.
Payment
Can I make changes to my entry after I have paid?
No. Paid entries cannot be edited.
How can I pay for the entry that I submitted?
Payment is completed online using the available payment methods.
Are all the fees in EUR?
Yes. Fees are accepted only in EUR.
Judging
Who are the Judges?
An international panel of design professionals and educators.

Judging is based on design excellence, innovation, functionality, aesthetics, and impact.

Can I receive judges’ ratings or comments?
No. Due to the volume of submissions, individual feedback is not provided.
The Awards
Will I be notified if I’ve won an award?
Yes. Winners are notified by email and can also see results in their member section.
Do the category winners receive an award or certificate at the Awards reception?
The Trophy is presented to the Globar Toy Designer of the Year and the Discovery of the Year (student). Other winners receive certificates and additional recognition materials.
If I win an award, will I be eligible to receive a free copy of the Book?
No. The Winners Book is available for purchase only.
